Who is the new bishop?

Ulla Thorbjørn Hansen is the first female bishop in Roskilde diocese.

She is particularly concerned with diaconia - the social work of the church - and pastoral care. She says:

As bishop in Roskilde, I will do my utmost to live up what is entrusted me. I hope to be measured according to whether I ensure that the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark is a church where no one doubts that pastoral care is there for them. Furthermore, that local government is strengthened. I also want to be known for creating a safe workplace with a safe and well-functioning working environment
