Programme released: Hundreds of events interconnecting church, society and culture will dominate central Copenhagen during Ascension weekend 2016.
Join the Danish Church Days in Copenhagen and take part in
Debates on church and society, the future of the church, democracy, poverty, baptism, care and religious freedom – you name it.
Workshops on Christianity, culture, communication. Participate in hymn workshops, express yourself through dance and movement or take the kids to choir events or giant role-plays at the town hall square (Beat a Roman or fight a disciple. Or play the story of Jesus in an old and a modern version)
Concerts with some of the hottest Danish artists. Hymns, pop, rock, electronic music – whatever your heart and soul desire
A large number of minor or larger activities for everyone to join in. Church services, singing, eating, lectures, debates, art exhibitions, etc.
FACTS:
- Everyone is welcome. You can show up as you are – there is no registration.
- All activities are free.

Heavenly Days is the title of this year’s version of Danish Church Days. Danish Church Days have taken place every three years alternating between the country’s major cities. This is the first time it takes place in the Danish capital.
